SQUAD TRAINING

After completion of Learn to Swim Levels your child has the option to continue developing their swimming skills through our Squads program

and can also choose to become a member of the Coffs Harbour Amateur Swim Club ( this is not compulsory).

Mini Squads (Wading Pool)

Primary Objectives

Bronze Squads (Lanes 1 & 2)

Primary Objectives

  • General endurance
  • Maintaining natural speed
  • Developing race skills
  • Introduction to dry land train

Recommended sessions per week: 2-3

 

 

Silver Squads (Lanes 3 & 4)

These squads are for the serious swimmer who wants to continue on with their swimming as one of their main sports.

  • Flexibility

  • Dry land training

Gold Squads (Lanes 5 & 6)

These squads are for the more dedicated competitor; swimmers aim for State and National standard.

Squad members must have personal discipline and long range commitment to their training. The Head Coach will set all programs.

Surf Squads (Lanes1 Jnr & 5 Snr)

Surf Squad sessions are scheduled for Tuesday & Thursday afternoons, however, surf club members are welcome to join in any session.

All of the programs are planned & approved by the Head Coach.
