LEARN TO SWIM

C.H.O.P. SWIM SCHOOL

Coffs Harbour Olympic Pool or C.H.O.P. as it is known has swimming programs to suit everyone. AUSTSWIM certified instructors teach a balance of water confidence, aquatic survival and swimming skills in a safe and friendly environment. Class sizes are kept small to ensure you and/or your child receive the best quality tuition.

C.H.O.P. Swim School offers lessons for all ages from 6 months to adults. As your children progress through our Learn to Swim levels they have an opportunity to join Coffs Harbour Amateur Swimming Club. The club offers your children the opportunity to put the skills that they are learning to the test through our regular club meetings on a Friday night. Our younger Club members race over 25 metres, while our more experienced swimmers race up to 400metres.

All Swim School staff are AUSTSWIM and CPR qualified according to Australian qualification and insurance regulations. They regularly attend training courses to remain up to date with swim teaching information.

ENROLMENTS AND ADMISSIONS

Bookings should be made at the Swim School reception area. On booking you will be required to complete an enrolment form including any medical information and pay a $20 non refundable registration fee in order to hold your position. This enables us to be affiliated with associations such as ASTCA, Swim Australia and Royal Life Saving and to bring you the best possible lessons available.

CLASSES

MUMS/DADS AND BUBS

Water familiarization through songs and games for 6 months to 24 months. Maximum of 7 (parents in water with children).

PRE - SCHOOL

These classes develop water confidence, safety and co-ordination. Children 2 - 5 years of age are introduced to kicking, floating (front and back), controlled breathing, dog paddle and basic swimming strokes through games and activities.

Maximum of 3 (Tadpoles, Frogs, Darts and Eels)

SCHOOL AGE

Children 5 years and up of all abilities are catered for. This program develops a wide range of skills for beginners, stroke improvement and advanced ensuring all children are competent in all strokes, water safety and survival.

Maximum of 4 (Frogs, Eels, Darts)
Maximum of 5 (Catfish)

ADULT

It is never too late to learn. All ages and all levels welcome.

Maximum of 4.

SPECIAL NEEDS & PRIVATE TUITION

Private classes can be arranged for those requiring individual attention. Our instructors will assist you in achieving your individual goals. All ages and all levels welcome.

IINTENSIVE SWIM PROGRAM

These programs are conducted during school holidays and are ideal for improving swimming skills fast and effectively.
